Two days ago, I woke up in a foreign country for the first time in my life. I've captured the experience these past three days through this photoessay.

Bienvenidos! (Welcome!)

Two days ago, I woke up in a foreign country for the first time in my life. For the next ten days, five other people and I will be working with a local pastor to support his ministry in Guatemala.

The purpose of our trip is to observe, contribute, and develop plans to further support this ministry. In a very real sense, we are church ambassadors.

My primary role over the course of this journey is to document the trip online. I’ve developed a blog for sharing updates at www.FaithGT.com, and you’re more than welcome to follow along.

Not a lesson, but a story

Already, my perspective expanding, and each day I’m journaling along the way. At the same time, I don’t want to be too quick to assume I understand all God is teaching me right now. It’s often after the fact when we grasp the bigger picture.

So for now, I want to give you a quick glimpse into Guatemala. I want you to see and experience what I’ve experienced in three short days through black and white photos. Here I’ve assimilated some of my favorites—pictures that tell a story of need and hope in Guatemala.

Please pray for God’s kingdom to come through this trip. I know each person on the trip desires to be a blessing and to be blessed through the ministry happening in this country.
